Overview of Idea

What if that vacant storefront you walked by everyday went from disheveled to dinner party ready? The League of Awesome Possibilities has already been activating third spaces & neighbors in Chicago's Ravenswood community, & now we want to invite them to dinner to talk design, development, & awesome.

idea specifics: what will the $500 fund?

The $500 will fund the clean up and window installation in our first identified possibility potluck location. All additional funds will be used to publicize the event and supplement key dinner supplies that aren’t donated. We already have key partners engaged and potential dates in mind, it is now a matter of making it manifest.

The Awesome Foundation funded the first projects of The Awesome League of Possibilities (www.awesomeleague.org) which included installations in a cafe, neighborhood coffee hours, and a small business valentine project. We hope the GOOD community can make it even more AWESOME.

We have similar storefronts in my city (Richmond, VA) and I would love to see how this project unfolds in Chicago. It's inspiring to see your dedication to the idea, I hope you make this happen whether you win or not!

This is a whole bunch more constructive than what Michael Moore was doing with vacant storefronts. What an imaginative idea!
