Overview of Idea

Keep usable bikes out of landfills and keep the air/streets in our community cleaner through the Kids Bike Swap! At this event, kids can trade in a bike they have outgrown for a larger "new-to-them" refurbished bike. Any bikes that can't be used will be stripped for parts and recycled!

idea specifics: what will the $500 fund?

A $500 grant from GOOD Maker will allow us to rent the indoor/outdoor event space for this event from Seattle Parks & Rec. The event will keep over 250 bikes from being thrown away and put back into the hands of kids eager for a new ride. By helping us provide accessible bikes to our community, you will also be also encouraging nonpolluting transportation and healthy choices for hundreds of families.
