Overview of Idea

Green Apple Supply & Evergreen Alliance for Sustainability (EAS+Y) have partnered to make Evergreen, CO more sustainable. EAS+Y started a Bag It! campaign to reduce plastic use. We want to further this campaign by giving roses to people who brought reusable bags to the grocery store.

idea specifics: what will the $500 fund?

I try to bring my bags with me to the store, but often I forget. If on the day that I did remember and I was given a rose for it, I would be more likely to remember in the future as I would associate grocery shopping and my bags with something beautiful and fun. I would also talk about it to all of my friends—which would promote other people to bring their bags. I want to brighten people’s day and promote the campaign in a positive and beautiful way. The $500 would go towards purchasing the roses or another type of flower which would be handed out during a busy time at several different stores on different days so no one expects it. Positive reinforcement goes a long way!
